Hotel Review- Puranmal Muscat

Started of late in Muscat, this hotel is located just opposite of Hotel Woodlands in CBD area. It is the part of a group of Dubai based hotel chain. I heard good reviews about this hotel from my friends in the Indian community and thought of paying a visit.
We had two courses. The starter is shown in the picture below. One curry of paneer and the other of mixed vegetables. On the whole, the food was stellar and could get spicy if you don’t tell the waiter to reduce it.
Another good thing about hotel Puranmal is the price range. It is kept low enough to encourage customers to try out more dishes. The waiters are also well mannered barring the weekends, where they are too busy to spend time with you. They help you pick the dishes if you are unable to decide.
The hotel has an Indian Chat section at the ground floor and the restaurant at the upper floor. The ambience is clean and elegant, though a bit bright. Moreover the antique store that is there is way too expensive for a common man. It is best avoided to visit there. I really don’t know why they have gobbled up extra space with this worthless section, whereas they could have put in more chairs and tables and increase their revenues.
